Elections

Elections are held in the Grant Town Hall. Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

2010 Election Dates

Spring Election: April 6, 2010
Partisan Primary: September 14, 2010
General Election: November 2, 2010

Registration

Under Wisconsin law a voter must be registered prior to voting. A voter may register at the Grant Town Hall on election day by providing proof that he has resided in the Town of Grant for at least 10 days prior to the election. If the voter has a valid Wisconsin drivers license, that number must be supplied before the registration form can be processed. To Vote By Absentee Ballot

Any qualified elector who is registered in the Town of Grant may request to vote an absentee ballot.

  • To apply for an absentee ballot by mail, download the Application For Absentee Ballot (EB-121), complete the form and mail it to the Grant Town Clerk. The application must be received by the Clerk in time for the absentee ballot to be mailed to you and your completed ballot received back to the Clerk no later than the day of the election so that it can be delivered to the polling location by 8 PM on election day.
  • To vote an absentee ballot in person, go to the Grant Town Clerk's home and complete the written application. You must then vote immediately, seal your ballot in the proper envelope, and give it to the Town Clerk. No ballots may be taken from the Clerk's home. An absentee ballot may be completed in person until 5:00 PM of the day before an election.
